OO Gauge Class 33/1s 'Bagpipes' are back - and shipping to HELJAN UK stockists now. Look out for them in your local model shop over the next few days!
After a gap of several years, our ever-popular OO gauge Class 33/1 will be back in stock at HELJAN UK stockists in the next few days. This new run of models is in response to strong demand from customers and retailers and features a wide range of liveries covering the Southern Region push-pull Type 3 from the mid-1960s to early-2000s.
Over the last couple of years we've focused on the standard Class 33/0 versions, but now it's time for the push-pull variant to come back into the limelight. No fewer than nine versions are on general release covering all the most popular liveries, reruns of long sold-out editions and a previously unreleased livery from the early years of privatisation. All feature improved decoration over previous runs, including additional deco elements on the cab ends and underframe.
Standard features include an updated chassis with 21-pin DCC decoder interface, switchable headcode panel lights and HI headlights (where fitted) and our tried-and-tested heavy duty chassis with all-wheel drive and a large 5-pole motor for smooth, quiet and reliable performance.
All models have been produced in limited quantities, with some versions already sold out at the warehouse. They are available to order now from your local HELJAN stockist.
Two additional models in standard 1970s/80s BR blue have been produced exclusively for Kernow Model Rail Centre to complement its '4-TC' models. Contact KMRC for more information.
